Easter weekend was fun and the weather was beautiful. I had the day off on Friday, which was fabulous and to top it off we had our first Phillies game to attend. Aidan had a blast and really enjoyed it. It's fun now that he talks. He kept saying things like "ball high", "throw", "whoa fast", and of course cheering with the rest of the crowd. I can't believe this is now the third season he's been going to games. This kid is going to easily rack up 100 games by the time he's 10. Wow.
Saturday was hot and we enjoyed the glorious sunshine doing a little outside work. Later that evening Danielle and Jason stopped by with their not-so-small puppy, Lila. She's beautiful and definitely full of energy. She and Toby eventually got along and calmed down. While they were over, we dyed Easter Eggs. What a fun thing to do with an almost two year old whose favorite word at the moment is "me". Surprisingly enough we were not speckled or colored in vivid egg colors and Aidan really had a great time.
Sunday was a busy one. After church we went to my sister-in-law, Meagan, and her husband, Colby's, house for a delicious breakfast. Yum. Afterwards we headed home for a short bit and then off to Sean's cousin's for Easter dinner. It was fun to see the family and enjoy some time outside. They've got a great big yard, a couple of dogs that Aidan tried to play with, and a large Koi pond where he could try and see the fish. After dinner we headed to my sister Stephanie's house and hung out for a bit there. It was a great day.
My thoughts on life right now:
April's a busy month!
I need to prepare for Aidan's party! I'm glad it's going to be much smaller but that doesn't mean to slack on the preparations!
Easter is a blessed day, and I am certainly blessed.
