Last night Aidan stayed up until 11:45, possibly waiting for Sean to come home. Thankfully he finally fell asleep without a fight and off to bed we both went. This morning he slept until 9:45, so we got off to a later start running errands than I had hoped. We ran out to the mall in hopes of getting Aidan new sneakers. How is it that all the stores have the same darn shoes and none that we love? The only pair I liked was too similar to the ones he had last year, so I think I'll just have to find a pair online. I got a new pair of black pants and then we headed over to Target for a few items before a quick trip into BJ's. Within 3 minutes of being in his car seat he was out. Shopping is exhausting!

My thoughts on life right now:
It would have been more fun to be outside today than running errands.
I think I'm due for a mental health day soon.
There's still a bazillion things to do around the house...I wish I had a maid/organization service.

How stinkin' cute is Aidan?

Such a big "handsome Irish boy" walking home from the park.

Aidan and I walked, well, he rode in the stroller to the park after getting home today. He had a blast playing on the playground and climbing then sliding. On our way back we stopped on the soccer field and kicked the ball around a bit before walking, both of us, all the way home. It's a much longer walk when there's an almost 23 month old traveling beside you. At the rate we were going, even the ants crossing our path probably made it home before us. It was fabulous though, every minute. I can't believe my little baby boy is going to be two in just over a month.

Where have the last two years gone?
When did my baby grow to be a little boy?

Well, Aidan's all set for St. Patrick's day, either that or he's hiding from the broccoli on his plate. Out of that dinner, all that he ate was the usual chicken and ketchup. Yes, I have to include ketchup as part of the meal because I think he has about a tablespoon of it. Healthy? Who cares, at least it gets him to eat the chicken. One day he'll eat something other than breakfast foods/chicken/hot dogs/mac n cheese. One day...

My thoughts on life right now:
I wish Aidan ate more variety of foods.
I wish I cooked more often. (maybe this is part of his problem)
Time is flying by...slow down!

New bench and metal wall words change the look. It still needs a few finishing touches and possibly a new paint color that will complement the three rooms it is connected to.

Fun at the park

window treatments...finally...

sorry for the crappy pic, but I'm so happy to finally have window treatments in our living room {aka-the playroom} We got the white faux wood blinds shortly after we moved in and didn't know what else to put up. So we had unfinished windows. Three years later I finally bought some really simple sailcloth valances and brushed nickel rods to hang them on. It was just what the windows needed.

My thoughts on life right now:
One project at a time our house is becoming our home.
Now onto planning Aidan's 2nd birthday party!
